I bought my first SLR at the age of 14, getting up at 5am most mornings to do my newspaper route in order to pay for it. Today I still own this first camera (a Nikon FE) and occasionally use it as a teaching tool for better understanding the inner-workings of a camera. I was an avid photographer throughout my teenage years literally driving my family crazy with all my photographic experiments... (Well, actually my parents were very supportive to the point of setting up a darkroom at home in the basement...) I was privileged to travel a lot during my career and traveled extensively throughout North America and Europe with stints in India and Namibia (down near South Africa...) These trips have permitted me to build a good collection of images,
My main camera/lens combo is the D300 equipped with a Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens but I also rely heavily on a Tokina 12-24mm and occasionally on a Nikkor 50mm lens. And just like any other photographer I've got an endless supply of flashes, tripods, filters and so forth...
Travel and outdoors photography including people and children I come across during trips and outings.
