After spending 12 years in the Royal Navy, training in Electronics and a service life on Submarines, I left and started working for Rolls Royce. Eventually training as a Radiologist, and, after 28 years happy service I am planning on retiring this year.
As a self taught, and still learning, Natural History photographer I spend my time outdoors with my camera seeing the world around me, in previous years, such places as Slovenia, Canada, New Zealand, Andorra but now mostly in Scotland, which is becoming like a second home to me.
Looking at the natural world through my camera lens has taught me to see the world as it really is and not just as I think it should be.
My camera bag goes with me virtually everywhere. I enjoy photographing everything from the huge mountain vistas to the the smallest of insect, from trees to mosses and I try to show people what they share our islands with.
I have been shortlisted for Outdoor Photographer of the year in 2014 and 2015, both times in the Small World category. I have also sold images worldwide. I also supply images to The Bushcraft Journal, a wonderful outdoors and bushcraft web magazine.
